In addition to the beautiful boats sailing through the harbor, all waterfront homes, businesses and yacht clubs are encouraged to participate in the “Ring of Lights.” In past years, many homes, businesses and yacht clubs have gone to great extents to decorate their properties and add to the festive feel of the boat parade.

Hosted by the Commodores Club of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce, all homes, businesses, and yacht clubs lining the harbor are invited to enter. With its own judged categories and prizes awarded, the Ring of Lights has become as celebrated as the boat parade itself. In addition for the chance to win an award, registrants have a chance to appear in the live broadcast of the parade.

Entry fee is $35.

Completed registration forms must be returned to the Chamber prior to noon on Friday, December 11, 2026.

Judging for the Ring of Lights will take place on the Monday, December 14, 2026, so please make sure your decorations are in place.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY The undersigned hereby requests the right to enter the above described Christmas Boat Parade hosted by the Commodores Club of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce. In consideration of being granted the right to enter such a Parade, the undersigned hereby assumes all risks incident to such Christmas Boat Parade, and agrees that neither the Newport Chamber of Commerce, The Commodores Club, other sponsors, the City of Newport Beach, the Orange County Harbor District, the County of Orange, the State of California, nor any of the Officers, Employees, or Agents of such bodies shall be liable to me for any damage, or injury arising out of, or incident to, said Christmas Boat Parade. For the same consideration, the undersigned agrees to save and hold harmless, the aforesaid bodies, their Officers, Employees, and Agents from any action or claim for damages arising out of, or incident to, the activities of the undersigned in said Parade.
